6389 Tall Pines Road , Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814 - (View Listing)

Two story house, 1996, and garage, 2000, on ten wooded acres, ten minutes from CdA and a mile from the lake, over well-maintained country roads. Includes Italian stone floors, 9 ft. ceilings, and an open deck outside the master bedroom! The main floor, 1220 sq. ft. with 9 ft. ceilings, houses the kitchen/great room, two pantries, a utility room, laundry hookups, master bedroom with large walk-in closets, and full bath with jetted tub. The upstairs, 1220 sq. ft., with a full bath installed, is unfinished. It has the potential for two LARGE bedrooms. The construction is post and beam, allowing full useable space and creating 11 ft. ceilings at the peak. The walls, roof, and main floor are constructed of R-Control panels. The exterior walls are finished with steel siding. The roof has been redone in metal with recessed screws, Summer, 2008. There are Marvin wood windows throughout. A ground source water-to-water heat pump system flows into heating coils on the main floor, covered with Italian stone. As a result of this well-insulated construction, the utility bill (electricity & heating) averaged $52.86/month over a 64-month period. Appliances included with the house are range/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, water filtering system, air-to-air exchanger, and three low energy electric hot water heaters (two are backup for heat pump system). There is a wood burning stove in the great room and a Honda em5000S generator, wired to service the house (lights, microwave, refrigerator, freezers, well, water from storage tank) in case of power failure. The 576 sq. ft. detached, steel-sided, frame construction, garage/shop has one centered car door, and is surrounded by an area wired to be a shop. The attic of the garage/shop is built to hold weight, a perfect place for storage. The crawl space under the main house is 54 feet deep, again, a place for storage. There are two domestic wells and a spring on the property. The 100 deep well was developed up to 2 gpm (natural filtering system established by running the water slowly, gradually increasing the gpm flow) over a three-month period. Because this well pumps into a 2100-gallon underground, cement storage tank, it is sufficient and has served, as is, since 1998; it could be developed up to a higher gpm rate if desired. The 365 deep, low-production well is used to water the plants around the house. A natural spring, at the low end of the property, pumps into an 1100-gallon surface storage tank, at the high end of the property. This water is then dripped by surface water lines for watering. After selective logging in 1993, we planted hundreds of indigenous trees (ponderosa pine, tamarack, white pine), a number of oak and maple, a flowering plum, a hazelnut, a crab apple, a cherry tree, and lots of cedar & black walnut trees in cages to protect them from the deer, and Norway & blue spruce along two of the property lines. Misc.: garden area, RV parking, septic sewer system, exterior lighting above garage, MKI fire protection district. Financial Information: No assumable mortgage. Parcel Number: 49N 04W-04-6950 Directions: South Hwy 95 for 8 miles, Left on Kidd Island Bay Road mile,Right on Tall Pines Road mile. House is on the right side of the road through a green metal farm gate and up the hill to the right. No realtors or realtor recommended buyers. Contact me via my e-mail address (mschuler@vandals.uidaho.edu) or by mail as I will not respond to potential buyer initiated phone calls. To show: Pre-qualified buyers only.

6720 Borley rd , Coeur D' Alene, ID 83814 - (View Listing)

Looking for that REALLY SPECIAL place? Well then you have to check this out. Located on the north east shore of lake Coeur D' Alene above beautiful Bennett bay the property consists of two pieces one is 4.96 ac with a four bedroom house and the other is 4.64 ac of bare land, the pieces are set next to each other and can be joined if so desired. The house sits on the northern most piece and the bare land is the south piece. This is a south facing top of the hill meadow with filtered lake views than can be opened if so desired. This area is developed and maintained in a park like setting and is currently used as a disc golf course but could be turned into a landscaped area for a dream home. The lake is just minutes away with several beaches and boat launches nearby. And also just minutes away is the famous Coeur D' Alene resort golf course with its world class setting and floating green. The resort is also in the midst of building an upscale condo community around the course which will make the surrounding area even more desirable and so make the property an excellent investment real estate wise. There are great restaurants and lots of great shopping in downtown Coeur D' Alene, which is only minutes away and yet you will live in quiet seclusion with the nearest neighbors barely visible through the trees. Besides the resort golf course, which is close at hand there are many fine golf courses in the area including the new black rock development on the south west lake shore. There are also three ski areas within an hours drive one being the silver mountain resort just off I-90 and a quick half hour away with the worlds longest gondola and a new year round water park. There is also lookout pass thirty minutes beyond that and Schweitzer mountain just north of standpoint another hour drive. Summer on the lake is a great time and being up above like we are we get a great cool breeze every afternoon. The house is set in the trees on the lower half of the land with a new 600 Sq Ft deck and five hundred gallon hot tub in what we like to call the "garden yard" since it is filled with flowers and herbs in the summer and always cool and shady. Off the deck is a picturesque path to the upper meadow through tall pine trees. The meadow is the jewel of the property with its park like setting and beautiful lake views, which can be opened up even more is so desired. It is eighty percent mow able and all trees have been pruned up to 12 to 15 ft to give it a very open feel. As stated earlier it is now used as a disc golf course so in some of the epics you will see wind socks and tone holes. Wild life abounds here, especially white tail deer but also elk and moose and even bear at times. There are also bald eagles, owls, wild turkeys and many other wild fowl. The house was built in 1966 and sets on the northern piece which Borley Rd. goes through. It is treed and has some filtered lake views also which could be opened if so desired. It has had much remodeling over the last two years and some is still in progress plus it has all new appliances. The house could actually be used as a rental if you decide to build in the meadow. This place has everything, space, seclusion, investment potential, availability to ski, swim, boat, golf, hunt and many other outdoor activities, one I haven't mentioned is snowmobiling which is a popular winter activity here and for which there are 600 miles of groomed trails in the national forest just over the hill. The pictures in the ad barely touch the reality of what is here. There are more pictures that can be sent to interested buyers on request. It can be a beautiful life in north Idaho so come check it out. the yellow star on the airial photo is the house. The meadow is the next ploted area to the bottom of your screen. if you want to talk about buying only one piece of the two i am open to that. just let me know and we can try and work it out....
